MOUNTAIN VIEW — Members of the Jim Bridger FFA Chapter at MVHS kicked off the new year with a trip to Fort Worth, Texas, and other chapter activities.

Nine members of the chapter were able to make the trip, Jan. 31-Feb. 4, to the Fort Worth Stock Show. They were Breanna Hood, Colten Barker, Cooper Martin, Broderick Thomas, Rugger Hewitt, Katie Jo Kendrick, Bailey Bross, Cailee Hamilton and Tori Walker. They were accompanied by their advisor Cari Sue Covolo and chaperones, Chris Ann Walker and Joe Covolo.

Trip highlights included the 6th Floor museum in Dealey Plaza, which is the location of the assassination of John F. Kennedy; and the AT & T stadium, home of Dallas Cowboys. They visited Old Fort Worth Stock yards, and “saw the impact of the cattle and meat processing industries of the past and the agritourist industry that has sprouted from that decade,” Covolo said.
