MOUNTAIN VIEW ─ During the National Signing Day on Wednesday February 1, two guys who have played football for MVHS signed their letters of intent to play football at the college level.

Senior Blake Murray made a commitment to play for the Dickinson State University Blue Hawks in Dickinson, N.D. Murray is the son of Clint and Tammy Murray of Mountain View. Murray also has two siblings, Brian and Emma.

When asked of his decision to sign with Dickinson State, Murray stated I really liked it there. It is a really nice place. Currently Murray has been weight training three times a day at an hour and a half each time to keep in shape.

The other Mountain View player to sign with a college was Cade Covington. Covington decided to play football for the Western State Colorado University Mountaineers in Gunnison, Colo. Covington is currently finishing up a mission he went on after graduating from Mountain View in 2015.

Covington is the son of Craig and Teri Covington of Mountain View and has two siblings, Justin (a Lyman graduate) and Dane.
