Minutes of the Business Meeting held December 19, 2019

Present were Mayor Berg, Councilmembers Shane Hooton, Dallas Sill and Tansy Shelton,  Clerk Lisa Bradshaw, Public Works Director Jared Crane, Chief Kathy Adams and Attorney Thayne Peterson.  Councilman Spray was excused.

Councilwoman Shelton made a motion to approve the agenda, second by Councilman Sill , motion carried unanimously.

Councilman Sill made a motion to approve the minutes of the December 5, 2019 work session and business meetings, second by Councilwoman Shelton, motion carried unanimously.

Ordinance No. 2019-12 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE AMOUNT OF TIME REQUIRED BETWEEN PUBLICATION OF A HEARING NOTICE AND HEARINGS FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS AND VARIANCES. Councilman Hooton made a motion to approve Ordinance No. 2019-12 on the third reading, second by Councilman Sill, motion carried unanimously.

Resolution # 2019-26 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A METER PIT REPLACEMENT POLICY.  Councilwoman Shelton made a motion to approve Resolution # 2019-26, second by Councilman Sill,  motion carried unanimously.

Councilman Hooton made a motion to approve the following bills: Airgas – cylinder rental $54.26, Brenntag Pacific – chemicals $1,262.78, Bonneville Equipment – tracks for skid steer $2,900.00, BVEA – utilities $9,299.27, BVJP – water purchased $23,650.04, Bridger Valley Pioneer – advertising $313.60, Bridger Valley Propane – propane for animal shelter $293.73, Bridgerland Carquest – monthly charges $98.40, Business Solution Group – water bill cards $545.22, Caselle – software/support $780.00, Chemtech-Ford – samples $266.00, Covolo-Auto Farm Service – monthly charges $244.99, First Bank – credit card $3,444.56, Forsgren Associates – Lyman Streets 2020 $4,560.00, Ricoh – copier leases/maintenance $66.45, Real Kleen – janitorial supplies $79.60, Rees Auto – work of PW vehicle $85.00, Silver Stitch – uniforms $7.50, Ferguson Waterworks – supplies $124.45, Webb Computer Consulting – computer maintenance $2,100.00, One-Call of Wyoming – tickets for Nov. $24.75, Power Engineering – monthly charges $125.00,  second by Councilwoman Shelton, motion carried unanimously.  

Councilman Sill made a motion to adjourn, second by Councilman Hooton, motion carried unanimously.

Public Notice

The Town of Lyman will be holding a silent auction on January 23, 2020.  Bids must be turned into the Clerk's Office by 3:00 p.m. on January 23, 2020.

The items that will be auctioned are the following:

1990 Ford Street Sweeper (min. bid $1,000.00)

1984 John Deere 544C Loader

2008 Power Stroke F-250 (min. bid $2,000.00)

Items can be viewed January 21st and 22nd at the Lyman Police Department parking lot between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Anyone interested in bidding must obtain a bidding sheet from the Clerk's Office.

Notice of meeting

The Board of Trustees of Uinta County School District No. 6 will hold an executive session at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, prior to their regular meeting to discuss Superintendent evaluations. The regular board meeting will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the administration building at 126 North Franklin Street.  The public is invited to attend the public meeting.
