ORDINANCE NO. 2019-12

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE AMOUNT OF TIME REQUIRED BETWEEN PUBLICATION OF A HEARING NOTICE AND HEARINGS FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS AND VARIANCES

WHEREAS, the Town requires public hearings before the Planning and Zoning Commission can issue Conditional Use Permits and Variances; and,

WHEREAS, the current Code requires seven (7) day notice by publication before the public hearing; and

WHEREAS, the weekly publication schedule of the local newspaper has caused unnecessary delays in review by the Commission.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE TOWN OF LYMAN, UINTA COUNTY, WYOMING THAT THE TOWN CODE SHOULD BE MODIFIED IN THE FOLLOWING WAY: 

12-11-3: HEARING REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Notice Of Hearing: The planning and zoning commission shall hold a public hearing upon the application for a variance. Written notices concerning hearings on applications for variances shall be mailed to the owners of property and occupants of the property within a distance of three hundred feet (300') of the exterior boundaries not less than seven (7) days before the date of the public hearing. A public notice shall be printed in the official newspaper at least three (3) days prior to the hearing. The notice shall set forth the person requesting the variance, the legal description of the property, the street address, if applicable, any other pertinent information, and the date, time and place of the public hearing

The Town of Mountain View is requesting a bid for a new/used combination sewer jet/vacuum truck.

Notice of School Board Meetings and Availability of Minutes

 Notice is hereby given that regular meetings of the Board of Trustees of Uinta County School District Number 6, State of Wyoming, are held January through March, at 7:00 p.m., on the second Tuesday of the month, April through August at 8:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month and September through December, at 7:00 p.m., on the third Tuesday of the month, in the board room of the administration building, at 126 North Franklin Street,  in Lyman, Wyoming, and such meetings are open to the public.  There will be an open work meeting one hour prior to each regular meeting.

Notice is also given that official minutes of each regular or special meeting of such board, including a record of all official acts and of all warrants issued, are available for inspection by any citizen during regular office hours at the office of the clerk of said district, at 126 North Franklin Street, Lyman, WY.  Minutes are also available on the district web site at www.uinta6.k12.wy.us.

TOWN OF LYMAN WYOMING

Minutes of the Business Meeting held December 5, 2019

Present were Mayor Berg, Councilmembers Shane Hooton, Dallas Sill and Andy Spray,  Clerk Lisa Bradshaw, Public Works Director Jared Crane, Police Officer Aaron Roberts and Attorney Thayne Peterson.  Councilwoman Shelton and Chief Adams were excused.

Councilman Hooton made a motion to approve the agenda, second by Councilman Spray, motion carried unanimously.

Councilman Hooton made a motion to approve the minutes of the November 21, 2019 work session and business meetings, second by Councilman Sill, motion carried unanimously.

Ordinance No. 2019-09 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE UTILITY LINE AND FIXTURE PERMITTING REQUIREMENTS   Councilman Hooton made a motion to approve Ordinance No. 2019-09 on the third and final reading, second by Councilman Spray, motion carried unanimously.

Mayor Berg opened the public hearing for Ordinance No. 2019-12.  No public comments.  Public hearing was closed.
