MOUNTAIN VIEW — USA TODAY High School Sports recently announced the 2018 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Wyoming Football Team, and two of the three Uinta County football players selected for this honor were from Mountain View.
Players were selected based on their athletic achievements from the 2018-19 season, according to information released by American Family Insurance.
DL Colby Rees (5-10, 190, Sr.) was named to the First Team Defense. Teammate OL Hunter Gross (6-2, 190, Jr.), was named to the Second Team Defense. The only other player to receive this honor was OL Bridger Barker (6-3, 220, Sr.), Evanston.
Rees had previously earned post season honors – All Conference and All State – and had been named in November as one of the members of the Casper Star Tribune’s Super 25, which honors players from across the state. He also was tapped as the 2A Co-Defensive Player of the Year.
Gross also received post season honors and was named both All Conference and All State. In addition, Gross was named the 2A Lineman of the Year.
