LYMAN — The Pioneer Days celebration in Lyman is held on the weekend closest to July 24, and this year it falls on this weekend.
It kicked off Wednesday night with the Junior Rodeo at the Lyman rodeo arena. Activities also include a Movie in the Park at the Stake Center Pavilion. Participants were encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and smiles to enjoy the free movie, popcorn and drinks.
Tomorrow has a full slate of events beginning with the flag ceremony at 6:30 a.m. The 10K run begins at 7 a.m. and the family Fun Run at 8 a.m. The Kids Run, for those 6-years-old and under, begins at 8:30 a.m.
Lyman’s Main Street is where all the action will be at 10 a.m. as the parade winds down the street. The barbecue will be at the Lyman park and will start at 11:30 a.m. The day’s excitement will be highlighted by the final rodeo at the Lyman rodeo arena.
