URIE — Urie Elementary treated students with a day on the ranch Wednesday.
The program was designed to give students a look at ranch life and responsibilities. The event was held at the France Ranch east of Lyman. Children were told about ranching and the history of the area, able to see and learn about cows, horses and other ranch animals, rides on a 4-wheeler and a horse, have a hay ride and see a movie, “The Year in the Life of a Rancher.”
