MOUNTAIN VIEW — The Mountain View Football Kid Camp last week was a rousing success and the kids “were incredible,” according to MV head coach Brent Walk.
The Kid Camp held last week was the 6th annual camp, which is designed to get kids excited about the school’s football program. An offshoot of the program is to get the kids out, get them active, and help them build strong bodies.
“Camp was really, really good,” Walk said this week. “Campers worked hard and had a blast. Every session I would tell them "It is a great day to be a Mountain View Buffalo.”
Walk summed up the camp experience for the kids and the way they participated as, “Awesome. We had a ton of kids who participated in the camp from third grade to the current seniors on our football team. The campers did an amazing job.”
The three day camp – July 31 through Aug. 2 – gave the campers the opportunity to to learn many of the fundamentals and techniques Walk and his staff teach at the high school level.”
Walk praised the work ethnic of the campers, the great help from the coaches, the 2017 MVHS football team for helping and former players Cade Covington, Caleb Flake and Blake Murray for helping to make the camp a success.
