MOUNTAIN VIEW — The Mountain View Elementary fifth graders were back on stage this year and presented the ‘North Pole Star,’ a holiday twist to the television show America’s Got Talent last Wednesday, Dec. 15.
The program, under the direction of Vonda Phillips, was on tap in the Mountain View High School auditorium,
Television program hosts: Hunter Maxfield ( Cool Yule), Logan Carr ( Holly Day) and Kyri Collins ( Noel), led the show with performance comments from the judges: Hudson Lake ( Frankincense), Kennedy Cole ( Candy Cane), Brenden Cole (Ebenezer Scrooge), Jamie Walker ( Suzy Snowflake) and Sport Madsen ( Mistletoe).
Ten acts competed for the Star trophy including, Sub Zero Rappers, Ropin
Reindeer, Holiday Hillbillys, Christmas Carol, Rockin Holidays, Johnny Be Good, Comedians (Jolly and Berry), Singers (Frizzy and Snowy) and the 50s Crooners/The Blizzards and Mrs. Claus and the Sassy Sleighbells.
The program, set up as a live show, also featured Commercials (Chalet Motors, Sweet Watchers) and Breaking News with Santa Snowed in on Eggnog Peak.
Audience members used a QR Code on their phones to actually vote for a winner. In the end, Santa Claus played by Jex Wilson, is rescued by Rudolf (Hadlee Phillips) in the nick of time to present the Star Trophy to Charlotte Anderson (Christmas Carol).
