FORT BRIDGER — Ashley Martin, a 13-year-old gymnast from Fort Bridger qualified for the national TNT competition for levels 5-7, at the Stars and Stripes Championships, to be held July 19-22, in Reno, Nev.
Martin qualified in three events, the trampoline, double-mini trampoline and tumbling by achieving high scores at the Wyoming State TNT competition and Regional TNT competition held in Las Vegas in April and May earlier this year.
“I am super excited, but really nervous for the competition. I will be competing against the best-of-the-best [gymnasts] in the nation from Alaska to New York.” Martin said. “I am honored to be representing my gym, High Uinta Gymnastics, my state and my region at this competition.”
Martin will be attending this elite competition with one fellow gymnast, Kylie Kent from Evanston. They are the only two gymnasts who will be competing from Wyoming this year. Victoria Aimone, also from Fort Bridger, also qualified to attend Nationals in the trampoline event, however, she will not be able to attend the meet.
