Christmas season alive and well in the Valley

Oh, the weather outside was…delightful With Jack Frost nipping at the nose…

BRIDGER VALLEY — It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas throughout the Valley, and the Christmas Festival and lighted parade last week in Lyman, gave an added accent to the season.

The mild weather, turned a little nippy last Friday night as people lined the Main Street in Lyman to watch the lighted parade. As the sun settled in the west, the sky was aglow with red as if the season’s lights had been turned on in the sky. A slight wind kicked up while the crowd waited for the parade. The sounds of children playing could be heard in the stillness of the night during the wait.

Once Santa made it to the Lyman High School, he sat in a comfy chair next to the open fireplace, and children crawled on his lap while they posed for pictures.

Vendors lined the open space in the high school offering a plethora of goods laid out beckoning shoppers to “pick me” for your special someone. Attendance at the Festival was up this year as Valley residents walked through the myriad of booths.

And as the season continues to count down, there are only 17 days till Christmas, the schools are presenting numerous school programs showcasing their little elves (or were they on the naughty list this year, better shape up).
