CORONA, Calif. — Clyde Wayne Abel, Sr., 80, passed away July 26, at his home in Corona, Calif.

He was born Feb. 16, 1939, in Trinidad, Colo.; to Guy Clarence and Jean Mae Clow Abel. He was a member of the United States Army, Knights of Columbus, American Legion and St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Fort Bridger, and he worked for Greyhound driving a bus.

He was preceded in death by his spouse, Karen Rose Abel; a son, Daniel Christopher Abel; and a brother, Robert Allen Abel.

Clyde is survived by a son, Clyde Wayne Abel, Jr. of Milford, Texas; a brother, Guy (Peggy) Abel of Strafford, Mo.; and a sister, Betty Smith of Corona, Calif.

The Mass of Christian Burial is at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, Aug. 8, at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Fort Bridger, with a viewing starting at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Fort Bridger Cemetery.
