EVANSTON — During the early morning hours of Monday, Sept. 20, an unknown person(s) accessed an oilfield/gas location east of Evanston, entering buildings and storage containers and removing a company vehicle from the property.
This information was released by the Uinta County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday afternoon.
The vehicle was recovered a short time later in close proximity to the property, according to the release.
Also, during the early morning hours of Tuesday Sept. 21, an oilfield location property south of Evanston was accessed, with vehicles and equipment moved and relocated. Several similar burglaries have occurred north of Evanston, in Sweetwater County, Lincoln County and within Evanston city limits.
Evidence and DNA were collected from the scenes, the release said. Also, the Uinta County Sheriff's Office is asking for anyone with information related to these cases to contact Sgt Hale (307-783-1036) or Deputy Barker (307-780-1016).
