MOUNTAIN VIEW — Brooke Hale, Uinta County Sheriff’s Office, presented information on cyber safety to the students of Mountain View Elementary on Oct. 7.
Officers from the Mountain View Police Department assisted her.
“Our local and county law enforcement do a great job being involved with our schools and our students,” Principal Bill Erickson said. “Students enjoy visiting and learning from them.”
This year’s presentation included safety information regarding being online. This included gaming, social media and surfing the internet, Erickson said. The importance of letting parents know of all of the sites the students are visiting and anyone they are in contact with online was discussed. hey also discussed bullying, Halloween safety, safety around strangers and how to find help if you are separated from your parents or guardians.
“The staff and students of Mountain View Elementary are so appreciative of the great law enforcement we have here locally, and the support they give our school and our community,” Erickson said.
