LYMAN — Competitors in the triathlon last Saturday for the Pioneer Days celebration were on the mark early and ready to go with a 7 a.m. start for adults and the kids on the mark at 8:30 a.m.

The race, under blue skies and basically no wind would prove to be hot on the ground with a dip in the water to cool and then back on the ground. Contestants left the Lyman High School starting point and biked for 10 miles, into the water to swim for 250 yards and then back on their feet for a 3.3 mile run. Dedication, determination to reach the finish line and vying to be the first to cross.

Winners of the team division for the adult race included Jade Whiting, Milo Walker and Karly Sabey.

In the women’s division, Amber Schultz cross the line first. She was followed by Katie Ann Lott in second and Lindsey Hadlock in third place.
