SALT LAKE CITY, Utah. — Dennis Lamar Wood, 74, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018 surrounded by family in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Dennis was born Aug.10, 1944, to Charles Wesley and Erma Larson Wood in Driggs, Idaho.

Dennis married the love of his life, Cherryl Potter on Aug, 28, 1963 in Manila, Utah. They were later sealed in the Mesa Arizona Temple on June 25, 1971. Six children were born to them: three sons, David, Scott and Terry; and three daughters, Holly, Denise and Dawn.

His love for his family was bigger than anything else.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 55 years, Cherryl; three sons: David Wood of St. George, Utah; Scott (Amber) Wood of Orem, Utah; and Terry (Valerie) Wood of Lyman; three daughters: Holly (David) Hastings of Louisville, Ky.; Denise (Tom) Walters of Lyman and Dawn (Bryan) Walker of Lyman; his grandchildren: Corey, Tanner, Allie, Stormie, Clarissa, Quentin, Rachael, Ryan, Lillian, Bryton, Ellie, Kaden, Brinley and Adilyn; two great-grandchildren and a brother, William Wood.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Wayne Wesley Wood; and a sister, Barbara Jean Wood.

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Lyman 1st Ward LDS Church with a visitation at 9-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Lyman Cemetery.
