Dr. Clifford honored by International College of Dentists

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — Dr. Lynn Clifford, Bridger Valley dentist, was one of three Wyoming dentists to be honored this year on Sept. 6, by the International College of Dentists (ICD) during the organization’s 85th annual convention in San Francisco.

Clifford was presented with a membership plaque, gold lapel pin and a gold key symbolic of the organization’s “Fellowship for conspicuous service rendered in the art and science of dentistry.” Through this honor, Clifford was inducted as a Fellow of the ICD.

The International College of Dentists (ICD) is the pre-eminent honorary organization of the world’s outstanding dentists involved in “Serving Others.” The ICD is dedicated to the recognition of outstanding professional achievement, meritorious service and the continued progress in the profession of dentistry for the benefit of all humankind.

Clifford, one of three from Wyoming and one of 350 nationwide, was feted at this year’s impressive regalia ceremony witnessed by over 1,000 members and guests. The College, with representative chapters in more than 123 countries, has over 11,000 members, including about 6,500 in the United States.

Clifford started his practice in Bridger Valley In 1985 and has been involved in the community ever since.

Clifford has contributed to the Valley community throughout his work. He said he has enjoyed coaching wrestling at the Lyman Intermediate School for over 20 years, along with coaching soccer, Little League football and USA wrestling.

He and his wife Jana were married in 1971 and have three children:Cole, Zanna and Adam. They have 10 grandchildren.
