Our angel mother, Gloria Elizabeth Lake Larsen, 86 years, passed away Feb. 13, at Evanston Regional Hospital.

She was born Aug. 13, 1932, in Park City, Utah, to Patrick H. and Eliza Ann Bowman Lake. She married her sweetheart, Guy Coy Larsen, on June 26, 1948, in Heber City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on July 9, 2003.

She was a member of the LDS church in Lyman, where she was chorister and a compassionate service leader. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, playing cards with Jean, camping, fishing, riding in the mountains, Christmas, rendezvous and spending time with her family — but her gift was her ability to sing.

Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, Guy Coy Larsen; a son, Coy Dean Larsen; a granddaughter, Jamie Larsen; a great-grandson, Afton Hammon; and two sisters, Colleen Gates and Flora Yates.

She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Ann (Tom) Watkins, Gloria Jean (Mark) Turnbow, Ernie (Dawn) Larsen, John (Mona) Larsen, Gayle (Bill) Johnson, Wendy (Jim) Wilson and Amye (Troy) Hauf; brother, Frank Lake; brothers-in-law, Neal, Stan and Gail Larsen; sister-in-law, Nellie Wall; 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be t noon on Monday, Feb. 18, at the Lyman LDS chapel. Viewings will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17, and from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. on Monday, prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Lyman Cemetery.
