LYMAN — Six girls, out of a field of 17, were named the royalty 2018 Bridger Valley Pioneer Days Rodeos.

They were on hand to reign over the Jr. rodeo and will ride in the parade tomorrow in Lyman.

“Many opportunities are given in this wonderful Valley, and this is a good one – a contest to be a Bridger Valley jr. rodeo queen, jr. queen, princess, or attendant,” according to royalty contest organizer, Deanne Harris Wednesday afternoon.

The girls need to have the determination, the drive, and the passion to work with the horse and improve their riding skills. Learning a horsemanship pattern with walk, trot, lope.

The Pfeifers of Mountain View took the top honors in the contest for the queen. Faith Pfeifer was named the queen and her sister, Faith was named the queen’s attendant. The two girls graduated from Mountain View this year and have been around the rodeo arena for some time. They are the daughters of Holly Pfeifer.

Faith’s hobbies have been rodeo and wrestling. She plans on having a summer full of work, rodeo and having fun. She will attend CWC for a degree in Ag business. She said her goal in life is to be happy.

Hope Pfeifer’s hobbies are showing lambs, hunting, fishing and anything to do with horses. She rodeos and also managed wrestling in high school. Her long-range plan is to continue to rodeo throughout her life. She will attend CWC and pursue a degree in Ag business and farrier science.

The Jr Queen title went to Aubrey Reger, the 13-year-old daughter of Joe and Mandy Reger. The rodeo events she competes in include barrels, poles and goats. She also enjoys participating in the county fair where she shows a variety of animals, including horses. She rides both English and western style and enjoys jumping her horse. She participates in sports in school and is in the 4-H shooting sports.
