Judy Rae Green Jensen, 70, of Lyman, passed away peacefully on Oct. 30, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Judy was born Oct. 16, 1947, in Coalville, Utah, to Clifford Andrew Green and Loreita Mae Humphrey Green. She grew up in Mountain View, where she graduated from Mountain View High School in 1967.

On Dec. 18, 1965, she married Craig Jensen in Lyman. They were blessed with twin daughters, Lori and Lisa. Craig and Judy made their home in Lyman. Judy had a strong love for her family. Her daughters meant the world to her.

She loved her siblings very much. She would talk with them daily, either on the phone or via text message. She always enjoyed hosting the Green family reunion in July, and she loved the time that was spent with family.

Judy had a mind for business and loved to work in retail. She managed some businesses in Bridger Valley, including The Clothes Pen and Moe’s Sporting Goods. She got a job for the school district, working first as a para-educator at Urie Elementary and then as secretary for the athletic department at Lyman High School. She worked for the Lyman school district for 24 years before retiring in 2014.

During her retirement, she had the pleasure of babysitting Brixton Lyman, her great-nephew, whom she adored. There was a special bond between the two of them.

Judy’s hobbies included working in her yard, reading, quilting, four-wheeling, crocheting, snowshoeing, bike riding, walking, playing cards — especially Solo — and playing word games on her iPad.

Judy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She served in many positions in the church including Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent, elder and church treasurer. She was also involved with the Presbyterian Women.

She attended Gateway Community Christian Church and she was also the church treasurer there. Judy opened her home each week, for several years, to host a women’s Bible study, meeting on Wednesday evenings. Judy had a strong faith in the Lord, and she quietly served.

She was a past member of the Xadena Club and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Judy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Craig Jensen of Lyman; daughters, Lori Jensen of Mountain View and Lisa Jensen of Lyman; sister, Charla (Dan) Youngberg of Lyman; brothers, Allen (Shirley) Green of Urbandale, Iowa; Dennis (Jayne) Green of Mustang, Oklahoma; and Forrest (Melody) Green of Adair, Oklahoma; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Jeffrey Lynn Green and Andrew Clifford Green; and her infant twin sons.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Mountain View High School auditorium, with Pastor Carl Smith officiating. The family will be available to visit with friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Gateway Community Christian Church at P.O. Box 565 in Mountain View, Wyoming.

Judy’s family would like to thank their friends and family for all the love and support they showed, along with the phone calls and all the meals that were brought into the home. The family also wants to thank Jennifer Stringer and Kaylee Lyman at Best Home Health, who cared for her in her last days, for their incredible support and service.
