LYMAN — The girls-on-the-side who lend their voices and antics to getting the hometown crowd to cheer on the high schools home team also earned accolades of their own.
Six of the Lyman High School chearleaders – Brooklyn Ollis, McKinzie Rasmussen, Kaidance Pawlak, Kialie Pead, Neida Sandoval and Brinley Roberts – were recently awarded All American Cheerleader title from the Universal Cheerleading Association.
“These ladies displayed superior technical skills, leadership and strong personal values,” according to LHS assistant cheer coach, Nicole Rasmussen. “They were selected from cheerleaders all over the country who went through the tryout process. “Along with the honor of being named an All American Cheerleader, they have been invited to perform at the Universal Studios Thanksgiving Day Performance in Orlando, Florida,” Rasmussen added.
The school district, coaches and all want to congratulate these six girls on their accomplishment in earning this distinguished title, Rasmussen said.
