POWELL — What the LHS Eagles swim team lacks in numbers, they make up in ability to get the job done.
Although they were at the bottom of the teams at the 3A West Conference meet point-wise of the six-team meet, the Eagles made it known they were in the water and were there to impress.
The other teams at the conference meet included host team Lander, Kemmerer, Powell, Riverton and Sublette County.
Lander aced the meet, taking the championship with 428 points, outscoring second place Powell by 173 points and third place Riverton by 246 points. Lander set the bar higher in three events by notching new conference records. Nick Kulow set a new record in the 200 free, and teammate Jonny Kulow set a new record in the 50 free and the 100 breaststroke.
