KEMMERER — The Taco Time restaurants in Kemmerer and Lyman are under new ownership. Andrea Owens, who has a 20-year history working at the Lyman Taco Time, became the new owner on July 1.
In a telephone interview with the Gazette, Owens said her daughter Halie and partner Josh Knight will be assisting in the management of the Lyman store and she has promoted a Lyman employee, John Boan, to manager of the Kemmerer Taco Time. Owens said she currently has 10 employees in Kemmerer and 15 in Lyman.
Owens said she plans to be primarily at the Lyman store and that the previous owner, Denise Staley, has made a commitment to mentor her for at least two years.
“My immediate goal is to learn everything I can from Denise,” Owens said. “I worked for her for 20 years and she was a wonderful boss and treated me like family. When she wanted to sell the business, she encouraged me to take this step to move forward in my career and [said] she would help me.”Owner
