LYMAN — Lady Eagle McKinley Bradshaw has added two more accomplishments to the recognition of her talent as a ball=handler on the basketball court.
She was recently named the Star-Tribune Player of the Year for 2nd straight year. Bradshaw stepped on the floor at the Eagle’s Lair as a freshman for the Lady Eagles varsity basketball team. In the two ensuing seasons, she had earned the recognition from the Star-Tribune as the Player of the year in both her sophomore and junior seasons. And, it looks like this will just get better for Bradshaw as she recently committed to playing basketball at the University of Wyoming. She said she had made several trips to UW and was impressed with the team worked together and played basketball.
Bradshaw has expressed excitement and enthusiasm to have chosen the continue her play at UW following her graduation from Lyman next year.
Even when the Lady Eagles have taken it on the chin, Bradshaw has continued to turn in an amazing game, which attests to her prowess as an All-State and All-Conference 3A basketball player in Wyoming. Her talent would take her among the best even if she was metamorphosed into a competitor at the 4A level.
Bradshaw also recently was named the USA TODAY All-USA Wyoming Girls Basketball Player of the year. She was the leading scorer at 23.8 points per game., led the 3A in rebounding, 11 per game, and steals, 5.7. In fact, Bradshaw had four games during this year’s season in which she posted 33 points, which is four more than any other player for the Lady Eagles.
At the time Bradshaw was named Gatorade Player of the year, head coach Jason Hansen said, “She is the best player in All-Classes for the state of Wyoming. She is top 5 in almost every statistical category. What sets McKinley apart for me, is that she gives so much effort during a game. When you are super-skilled and a super-athletic, then go-hard-or-harder than everyone else, that is the formula for huge success in basketball.
