MOUNTAIN VIEW — MVHS National Honor Society held their second annual Christmas Coin Drive this year and were able to collect over $1,100.
Academic Honor Time classes competed against each other to raise money to buy gifts for families in the Uinta County District 4 for Christmas, according to Kolby Christopher, MVHS English teacher.
They “did not disappoint:” Christopher said ,”as students and staff were able to collect over $1,100. “Caprice Winn, Mya Hutchings, Jaylee Antonino, Tallulah Hamilton, and Noell Kaiser represented the true spirit of MVHS and National Honor Society with their initiative to serve others, their selfless character, and their camaraderie. The girls gave up a day of their weekends to shop for three families in UCSD #4 to help ease the Christmas burden so these families could make special memories this holiday season.”
Christopher extended a thank you to everyone who donated their time and money to this community service project.
