CASPER — MVHS art students earned 29 blue ribbons and one Congressional Ribbon was awarded to Madison Bindl.
The 51st Annual Symposium was held at the Casper Events Center April 26-27. The art work of the MVHS students were part of the 4,200 pieces of artwork on display at the Events Center.
“It is quite an honor to receive these awards,” MVHS art teacher Shanoa Gardiner said the end of last week. “Out of the total entries, only about 20 percent actually receive a blue ribbon. The most sought after Congressional Award only consists of 25 pieces of 2-dimensional art work and is only .6 percent of the total entries.”
Gardiner said the following students received one or more ribbons: Ridge Tysver, 8; Brook Kaiser, 3; Michael Stoll, 3; Madison Bindl, 2; Alysse Cherrington, 2; Britney Larsen, 2; Nikki Leonard, 2; Anna Jo Short, Madison Lupher, Shasha Monet, Mikenzie Roberts, Mikaela Williams, Haylee Rudy and Jordan Bury
