CASPER – MVHS art students earned 42 blue ribbons at the Wyoming State High School Art Symposium in Casper April 20–22.
The symposium is a statewide celebration of art, which was held at the Casper Events Center, featured approximately 4,500 pieces of art from about 80 schools across the state, according the MVHS art teacher Shanoa Gardiner.
Frankie Jenkins, a sophomore at Mountain View High School, was one of the art pieces Wyoming First Lady Carol Mead chose at the symposium to display in the governor’s mansion, Gardiner said.
There were 27 Mountain View Art Underground Students students who received one or more ribbons at the symposium, Gardiner said.
