MOUNTAIN VIEW — The MVHS Buffalos hosted the Lyman Eagles last week on the gridiron Friday with the Buffs taking the win 42-14, adding another win to their tally.

The Buffs have continued to live up to the pre-season hype they would be a team to be reckoned with, but the Eagles have also shown improvement this year.

Mountain View boasts a 4-0 conference record and 5-1 overall record, suffering their only loss at the hands of 1A Cokeville Panthers in Cokeville. In 2A West, the Buffs are at the top of the leader board.

Lyman has upped its ante and has put some of their games in the win column, They have a 1-3 conference and a 2-4 overall.

In today’s games, Lyman will host Greybull, and Mountain View will host Kemmerer. Greybull, ranked #5 in the conference, handed Lovell a loss 53-7. Greybull’s conference record is 3-1 and overall record 4-2. Lovell sits at the bottom of the 2A West, below Lyman, and is still looking for its first conference win. Lovell has an overall record of 1-5.

The Buffs still have to face Greybull in Greybull next week, and the Lyman Eagles will play the Big Piney Punchers. Big Piney is currently in third place in the 2A West and has a 3-2 conference record and a 4-2 overall record.

In the Buffalos game against the Kemmerer Rangers, the Buffs are picked as the favorite. The Rangers were shut out last week against Glenrock 49-0. Mountain is listed as #3 in 2A conference in the latest polls, but Kemmerer has done exceptionally well this year after several years of staying winless. However, their record shows they are still in the learning curve as they have a conference record of 2-2 and an overall record of 3-3.
