ROCK SPRINGS — The MVHS track teams impressed last weekend at the Ted Schroeder Meet of Hope in Rock Springs.

The Buffs took third place for the guys teams with 77 points. Rock Springs hauled in the first place finish with 182.5 points and Green River second with 125.5 points. In this slate of events, 13 schools competed.

The Lady Buffs were lower on the roster taking eighth place out of 12 schools. They racked up 17 points. The first three places were claimed by Rock Springs first with 147, Pinedale second with 125, and Cokeville third with 110.

The MVHS teams were short of many of their upper class competitors due to the MVHS Junior Prom last Saturday, according to head coach Joel Giorgis Tuesday. Giorgis said the teams have a combined 23 returning tracksters who qualified for state last year.
