MOUNTAIN VIEW — MVHS celebrated their Homecoming last Saturday following activities the school had used all week to make the week special for students.
In addition, activities were also held at the MVK-8 building so the celebration could be enjoyed district-wide.
The theme, “Back to the Future,” could have had an underlining message with a wish to get everything back to ‘normal,’ but the un-normal was apparent as some people wore masks, which proved to be a tell-tale sign, the normal hadn’t been completely resumed. However, the chance to have sports and also to utilize some of the ‘normal’ activities such as the parade and others throughout the week gave students the chance to experience some of the ‘normal.’
Derek Baker and Alli Rinker served as the MVHS king and queen of this year’s Homecoming celebration. They were featured on a float with the school’s royalty during the Homecoming parade in Mountain View Saturday morning. As per usual, kids along the street were armed with bags to rake up the candy thrown frm the floats.
The day played to a mild day, multiple clouds and a robust wind throughout the day.
