MOUNTAIN VIEW — The Mountain View High School student council participated in WASC, or the Wyoming Association of Student Councils in Casper Nov. 11-13.
While there, the student council learned about and practiced better leadership, presented a workshop on gratitude and raised $1,700 for Make-A-Wish Wyoming.
Mountain View had many accomplishments at WASC. Kyia Rice, the sophomore class treasurer, received a ‘Hidden Hero’ award, which recognizes hard working student council members who go above and beyond their duties.
Other MVHS students recognized at the meeting included Cortlin Condos, junior class president, who ran for the vice president of WASC. MVHS student body president Trinity Brown was nominated for All State Student Council and Stephanie Johnson, MVHS student council adviser, was nominated for adviser of the year.
The trip proved to be a knowledgeable and fun trip for the MVHS council members.
