MOUNTAIN VIEW — Gaven Norris, a sophomore at MVHS, was selected for and performed with the Wyoming All State Choir, which was held in Rock Springs Jan. 16-18.
“This takes weeks of preparation for an audition where he was one of 22 guys selected to sing Bass 1 from a very large audition pool,” said Melissa Clark, MV K-12 band and chorus teacher. “Then even more weeks to prepare the music for this event.”
Norris participates in band, choir and guitar at MVHS, according to Clark. She added, “He is very talented and wants to pursue music education after high school.”
Clark said the night concert topped off “two full days jam packed with rehearsals with the best musicians in the state, under the direction of Dr. Derrick Fox.”
