Giorgis, racing for her first year, took the championship for the girls, and Harmon was second in the boys division following Star Valley’s Peter Visser,
According to MVHS head coach Isaac Kiefer, last Saturday, Oct. 26, “Cross Country ended with a bang at the state championship in Star Valley today. The boys finished in third place and the girls finished in sixth. Travis Harmon finished second, and Katie Giorgis finished seventh, both runners earned All State honors finishing just behind nationally ranked runners. These athletes have been training since June,” and it was great to see the entire teams effort pay off today.”
