FORT BRIDGER — The Fort Bridger State Historic Site unveiled a new interpretive sign at the front entrance last Friday, May 11.
According to site director Chris Floyd, the new sign will “orient visitors and show all there is to see and do at the fort. The two-sided panel features an illustrated map of the fort that includes both current and historic points of interest.”
Local artist Bonnie K. LaFond drew the map using colored pencils, and her attention to detail includes the proper rendering of historic buildings and even the exact number of trees on the fort grounds, Floyd said.
“Thousands of visitors a year will appreciate her excellent rendering, which will help them learn more about the historic site and all it has to offer,” Floyd added.
