EVANSTON — Registration for COVID-19 Vaccinations for those 65 and older is now open. Eligible residents may register online for upcoming clinics at the following link: https://forms.gle/fbvGPciMf7gTQqZQA, which can be also accessed through the QR code.
For those without a computer or smartphone (or someone to help them register), we will accept call-in registrations. Due to limited staff, it is preferred that you register online if able. For Evanston area residents please call 307-789-9203. For Bridger Valley residents please call 307-787-3800.
“We are asking all who wish to get the shot to register, as it allows us to distribute the vaccine fairly and efficiently leading to smooth clinics with minimal wait times,” Kim Proffit, Uinta County Public Health, said Monday. “Please fill out and bring a consent form to your scheduled clinic.” The consent form can be accessed at www.uintacounty.com.
Doses of vaccine remain limited at this time, Proffit added. To fairly distribute what is available, Public Health will utilize a lottery system, if necessary.
Those selected for vaccination will be notified of the clinic location, time and date for the vaccine clinic. Clinics are scheduled by appointment only, no walk-ins. As more vaccine is received, Public Healthwill notify of further clinics and do further lotteries as necessary, Proffit said.
Those who got their first shots at the bus barn or at the MV Fire Hall will not need to register again, and the plan is to repeat those clinics four weeks from the first one at the same locations. Those same people will come at the same time they came the first time. Public Health will send out messaging the week prior to the clinics.
The Wyoming Department of Health and Wyoming Medical Ethics committee created the list of priority groups by phases and Uinta County Public Health has strictly adhered to it.
“As additional vaccine is received we will notify of further clinics utilizing a similar process,” Proffit said. “We are very excited to be at this stage of vaccine distribution.
“Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to efficiently and fairly distribute vaccine.”
