EVANSTON — A Bridger Valley 2-year-old died Tuesday under suspicious circumstances, according to Uinta County Attorney Loretta Howieson.
Brandon Green was pronounced dead shortly after 3 p.m. at Evanston Regional Hospital.
Green is the son of Shannon Sherman, and Howieson said the boy lived with his mother in Mountain View.
According to scanner traffic Tuesday afternoon, a man was driving an unresponsive toddler to Evanston from the Bridger Valley, and a law enforcement officer met the man at the Kemmerer I-80 exit to administer CPR while they waited for an ambulance to arrive.
An investigation is underway and ongoing. The Uinta County Sheriff’s Office is the primary investigating agency, though Sheriff Doug Matthews said all information will be released through the county attorney’s office.
Howieson said she couldn’t legally confirm whether someone had been arrested in connection with the incident.
