Rebecca Lynn Pennington, 39, of Mountain View, passed away at her home on Thursday, May 28. She was born on May 26, 1981, to Kenneth Dale Pennington and Janett Dunlap Earl, in Evanston. She spent many years working in hospitality and enjoyed cooking, camping, singing (both in and out of tune), fishing and adventures including mountain drives. Becci loved to have fun. Most of all, she loved spending time with her little “nuggets,” Kaden and Ashlin.
Rebecca is preceded in death by her grandparents, Bob Pennington and Lewis and Joyce Dunlap; a nephew, Carson Revelli; as well as a dear friend, John Lopez.
Becci is survived by her children, Kaden Ray Pennington and Ashlin Jandy Alfaro; her father, Kenneth Dale Pennington; her mother, Janett Dunlap Earl (Scott); her sisters, Kimberlee Coon (Lucas), Kodi Pennington, Alyssia Hemker (Gerald), and Darci Revelli; brothers, Shon Earl (Lindsay), and Kyle Earl; nephews and nieces, Kris, Bryan, Alayna, Ethan, Kiara, Dallin, Bryken, Kysen, Danika, Kambria, Kendrix, Lexi, Lydia, Boston and Lincoln; and a zillion others who she loved and claimed as her “nuggets.”
A memorial service for Rebecca will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, at the Heart of the Valley Baptist Church in Mountain View. An interment will follow at the Lyman Cemetery.
