FORT BRIDGER — The Fort Bridger American Legion Auxiliary recently selected six high school juniors to attend the 2019 Wyoming Girls State June 9-15.

Three students were selected from each of the Valley’s High Schools. They will be sponsored at Girls State by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #36, the American Legion Post #36 and the Sons of the American Legion.

This is the 77th session of the American Legion Auxiliary Wyoming Girls State, according to Cathey Raymer of the Auxiliary. This session will be held at the Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne.

The six Valley girls selected to attend Girls State include Brooklyn Busskohl, Alyssa Packer and Clarissa Wood, Lyman High School; and Tynnille Hansen, Katelyn Tims and Jaylynn Watson, Mountain View High School.

They were selected for their outstanding achievements, within their own schools and community, according to Raymer.
