LYMAN — Damien Smith has been named the new superintendent of Uinta School District #6, coming to the district from Idaho.

In a letter to district personnel Smith posted on the LHS website, “I loved my time there but am excited about new adventures here in beautiful Wyoming.
“As I begin this new chapter in my career as the superintendent of Uinta County School District #6, I am eager, hopeful and enthusiastic.”
Smith also said he, “was committed to working with staff in the district to improve student safety, student learning and communication with all constituents involved. This task is one I look forward to as I am surrounded by great people who strive to do their best each day on behalf of all students.”
