LYMAN — The top three spellers at the Lyman Intermediate School spelling bee– BoDee Busskohl, Dimick Gull and Braxton Richardson –advanced to the Wyoming State Spelling Bee at Western Wyoming Community College March 24.
Landon Ray, who was the 2017 second place speller, won the position of alternate speller and was tapped to step in if one of the top three was unable to compete.
LIS didn’t include the 2018 results for the LIS students in their PR.
Editor’s Note: The top three places were claimed by Beckett Lucas-Griffin, Teton County first; Finnegan Willis, Carbon County, second; and Shiva Yeschlur, Sweetwater County, third. Lucas-Griffin will now go on to compete with top spellers from across the country in the Scripps National Spelling Bee, at the end of May.
