EVANSTON — Uinta County Fair activities kicked off in Evanston July 26, and will run through Saturday Aug. 4.
The fair provides a cornucopia of activities and events for visitors and competitors. People throughout the county walks through the gates to take get a glimpse of the exhibits and to cheer on their favorite exhibitors when they show their projects.
The show rings and exhibit hall holds a plethora of entries. Free activities during the day keep the children, big and small, entertained through the day.
Pre-fair activities such as the 4-H, FFA and open class horse shows and the fashion revue interview judging were held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of last week. And the week’s activities were topped off by Jr. NFR Bull Qualifier Rodeo last Saturday night.
Today is listed as Kids’ Day where kids can vie for being #1 in games such as stick horse races, relays, water games and more.
The day winds down with the Jr. Livestock sale and a dance near the exhibit hall and fair office.
Tomorrow is the dénouement of this year’s ‘United in Purpose’ show proving the Uinta County Fair is an on-going event for the county, for competitors and visitors. The day will also include showmanship competition in the show ring for exhibitors who want to compete for the top honors in showmanship.
In addition to competitors packing up and getting ready to return home, there will also be fun activities such as a children’s pet show in the rabbit barn.
