MOUNTAIN VIEW — The Uinta County Historical Society (UCHS) donated $1,000 to the Mountain View Library Tuesday morning for the purchase of new books for the library.
Over the last three years, the UCHS has donated $4,000 to the Lyman and Mountain View Branch Libraries for books, according to Pat Robbins, historical society member. She said the organization “would like to encourage continued and increased support of the Valley libraries. They have operated without a book and supply budget for some years now.”
Robbins said Susie Worthen, Lyman librarian, had said the communities “have been generous in the past to support the local libraries. I suppose we would just like to keep that need in front of the people here.”
Anyone interested in joining the UCHS to help with this project and a Fort Supply project can call Robbins at 307-786-4145, or lizalou2955@me.com.
