ROCK SPRINGS — United Way of Southwest Wyoming (UWSW) presented Mountain View resident Karli Kiddy with a ‘Hand Raiser Award’ for her volunteer service during 2019.
Kiddy volunteers for UWSW’s Community Diaper Bank of Bridger Valley in Lyman. Through this program, families can receive a free package of diapers for each of their children. The Diaper Bank is located inside Lyman Town Hall and is open the first Tuesday of every month from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
“Karli began volunteering in April 2019, and we can’t thank her enough,” said Shelley Richno, community impact coordinator at UWSW, “With her help, we don’t have to cancel or reschedule distribution days because of poor road conditions. The program runs much smoother and consistently with a trusted volunteer.”
Kiddy stated, she “loves helping people and bringing some joy into their life.” That’s why she takes time to volunteer and give back to her, “amazing community.”
Lyman Town Hall has a drop-off box for anyone wishing to donate diapers and wipes. The Diaper Bank will take open packages of diapers. For more information or questions contact Richno at 307-362-5003, or srichno@swunitedway.org.
This award, and others, are typically awarded during UWSW’s annual celebration event, but due to the pandemic was cancelled.
