SANDY, Utah — Bridger Valley gymnast Ashley Martin participated in the USA Gymnastics National Stars and Stripes Tumbling and Trampoline Competition July 8-10, at the Mountain America Exposition Center in Sandy, Utah.
Martin competes with the High Uinta Gymnastics team, which is based out of Evanston. Four of her teammates also qualified to compete at this best-of-the-best meet.
During the competition, Martin led the team in achieving the highest national placements by placing in all events, in the 15–18-year-old division, competing at Level 7. Martin placed in the following events: Tumbling, placed sixth in flight and in the nation; Trampoline, placed fifth in flight and nationally tied for seventh; and in the Double-Mini event, placed tenth in flight and in the nation.
Martin was honored for her tumbling performance with a podium and medal ceremony, which was given to gymnasts who placed in the top six.
