Walk for awareness of veteran' suicide

A group of Bridger Valley residents walked last Thursday, Oct. 29, in Mountain View to raise awareness for the 22+ veterans that take their lives every day. Ike Arnell said the walk was set up as part of the national walk to remember veterans who had committed suicide and the local group walking specifically Arnell’s son who died on Oct. 7. Arnell also encouraged the group that if someone is feeling depressed to try to be a friend to them or a "buddy" or just show you care. He said this walk was for veterans, but the idea of being a "buddy" could apply to anyone. PIONEER PHOTOS/Jenny Martin
