Wally Hale

Posted

Our father, Wally, as most of you knew him, passed away Sunday, Sept. 12, at University of Utah Medical Center, after complications of nonalcoholic liver failure (NASH).

He was born July 22, 1948, in Salina, Kansas. He was the second son to Mitchell (Max) Cleburn Hale and Grace Marie Hale.

Wally is preceded in death by his first love, Kathy Hale; and both of his parents.

Wally is survived by his second wife, Melanie, of Mountain View; brother, Buddy (Esther) Hale of Sierra Vista, Arizona; son, Jason (Teresa) Hale of Mountain View and Wally (Brooke) Hale Jr. of Mountain View; daughters Jennifer Hale of Alvord, Iowa, and Samantha (Jason) Ketner, of San Tan Valley, Arizona; sons, Mitch (Rachel) Hale of Lyman and Matthew (Carly) Hale of Mountain View; stepsons, Matt (Heather) Botts of Green River and Chris (Hailey) Botts of Evanston. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Wally enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and woodworking. He always had a smile on his face and would talk to anyone — he never met a stranger.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, at the Mountain View LDS church. There will be a viewing Friday night at the church from 6-8 p.m.

Graveside services will follow at the Ft. Bridger cemetery.
