The storms winding through the area ended up creating hazardous conditions along I-80 Wednesday and the interstate between Evanston and Lyman was closed by 3:43 a.m. It was reported on Utah Channel 4 news early Wednesday morning. The roads were reopened by about 11 a.m. Some have decried the snow, but others have said it will provide drinking water next summer and the ground isn’t frozen so it will sink in instead of running off. The Lonetree area had about seven inches of snow Tuesday morning from the storm. Hunters coming down from the Meeks Cabin area reported about a foot of snow in the area Tuesday afternoon. A couple of cars on the Urie/Mountain View highway did spins and one landed in the barrow pit Wednesday morning. PIONEER PHOTO/Virginia Giorgis
