MOUNTAIN VIEW — Ashley Dawn Starks, 31, died Aug. 8, In Salt Lake City, Utah, after an extended illness.
Ashley was born Jan.15, 1987, in Rock Springs, to DesaRee Dawn (Peterson) Schuttemeier and Timothy Jon Starks. She grew up in Rock Springs, Casper, Evanston and Bridger Valley.
Ashley graduated from Mountain View High School in 2005 where she participated in art, sports, music, FFA and 4-H. Ashley attended Western Wyoming College and apprenticed as an electrician for Union 192.
Ashley was a vivacious, intelligent, kind animal-lover who aspired to be a veterinarian and brought joy to her friends, family and all who got to know her. Ashley particularly enjoyed reading, snowboarding and working with her horses and dogs.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Starks; her cousin Jesse Wilson; and her grandfather, Earl Starks. Ashely is survived by her grandmother, Sharon Starks; her grandparents, Virgil and Peggy Peterson; her mother and stepfather, DesaRee and Frankie Schuttemeier; her father, Timothy Starks; and her siblings: Jordan Starks, Devyn Peterson, Samantha Starks, Rusty Schuttemeier, Kacie Schuttemeier, Nickie Schuttemeier, Jessie Schuttemeier and Frankie D. Schuttemeier.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Aug. 18, in the Mountain View LDS Church at 10 a.m.
