LHS cross country raced in several meets
GREEN RIVER– The Lyman High School cross country team ran their first race of the season at an invitational at Green River on Friday, Aug 24, with the Lady Eagles taking first and the Eagles taking second.
The Valley’s two cross country teams – Mountain View and Lyman, competed in a dual meet Wednesday. Originally scheduled for Bridger Lake, the meet was changed to the Heritage Barn in Lyman. Results weren’t available at press time.
The Eagles are schedulted to compete in a meet next week on Thursday at Bear Lake.
The course for the Green River Invite was at the Sweetwater County Picnic Grounds in Jamestown. Riverton was also competed in the race.
Elena Jensen, LHS Lady Eagle, turned in the best time for the girls at Green River by posting a 21:42 for first. Other results for LHS included 5. Jamie, Steeheli, 25.22; 6. Emma Beck, 27:13; 8. Lindsay McGuire, 29:01.
MVHS cross country at Lander Invite last week
LANDER — The MVHS boys cross country team turned in the second best average time 19:21.20 for second, only bowing to Lander in first place with a time of 18:35.20.
