LYMAN — Charles Otis Hornberger, Jr., 74, of Lyman, Wyo.; passed away on July 20, 2021.

He was born on Oct. 25, 1946, in Westfir, Oregon, to Charles Otis, Sr. and Juanita Ethel (Holiday) Hornberger. When he was a young man, he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country in Thailand during the Vietnam Era. When he returned from the war, Charles got a job at the lumberyard where he worked until his retirement. In 1987, Charles married his sweet love, Nancy Zampedri in Fort Bridger, Wyo. Charles loved to do puzzles and watch old John Wayne movies.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Nancy J. Hornberger; children: Thressa Scott (Erin), Carol Barney (Sherwin), Dawn Dunn (Mike), Jackie Thurston (Anthony) and Glen Hornberger (Melinda); brother, Ted Hornberger; sister, Edna Schonover; as well as 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Otis, Sr. and Juanita Ethel (Holiday) Hornberger; his sisters; one brother, and with several nieces and nephews.
